Doris R. (Walker) Tassinari died after a long illness at Massachusetts General Hospital on Sept. 24th at the age of 84. Doris was born and raised in East Boston, graduated from East Boston High School and has lived in Melrose since 1954. She and her husband Antenori have been married for 60yrs and owned a summer home in Lake Sunapee for 45years. Doris was a homemaker, a member of Incarnation Church in Melrose, a former member of the Melrose Womens Club and Bellevue Golf Club in Melrose. She was the wife of Antenori H. Tassinari. Mother of Gloria I. McGrail & her husband Thomas of CT and Joyce M. Tassinari of Salem. Sister of George Walker of E.Boston and John Walker of AZ. Grandmother of Tara, Kristen, Jocelyn, Melissa, Andrea and Thomas. Great grandmother of Abigail & Kaylan. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday Sept. 27th at 9AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8PM. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
