Dorothy R. (Louritt) Bishop died after a long illness at Epoch Senior Health Care Center in Melrose Jan. 25th at the age of 86. She was born in Tewksbury, raised in Everett and graduted from Everett High School Class of 1937. Dorothy lived in Malden from 1961-1997 and Melrose for the past 4yrs. Dorothy worked as a nurses aid for Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Everett for 15yrs. and was a longtime member of St. Theresa's Church in Melrose. She was the wife of the late Clarence H. Bishop. Mother of John H. Bishop & his wife Carolyn of Jefferson NH. Sister of Esther Whitney of FL and John Louritt of NV. Grandmother of Steven Bishop of Tewksbury & Phillip Bishop of Melrose. Great grandmother of Sarah M. Bishop. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday Jan. 28th at 9AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM.
