Dorothy A. (Waldron) Boyson, of Melrose, died at the Epoch Senior Nursing Center in Melrose on May 13, 2007. Dot was born & raised in Savin Hill, Dorcester, and a graduate of Holy Cross Cathedral High School, Class of 1937 & Boston Secretarial School. Mrs. Boyson worked for Mass. Rehabilitation Commission in Malden for 16 years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Marys Church in Melrose for many years, the Ladies Sodality, Community Assoc., Club, Historical Society of Melrose, Kosmos Club, Line Dancing, 200 Club, AARP and the Milano Senior Center. Dot was the beloved wife of the late Oscar H. Boyson. Loving mother of James M. Boyson of Billerica & his fiance Kathleen Brooking of Dracut, Steven H. Boyson & his wife Donna of Hamstead, NH, Brian J. Boyson & his wife Arcilia of Norfolk and Gerard D. Boyson of Moultonboro, NH. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Matthew, Amanda, Steven, Cindy, Brian and Christopher. Caring sister of the late Robert Waldron and Lillian McCue. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday May 21st at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-6PM. Immediately following the funeral mass, the family would like to invite Dots friends for a gathering in St. Marys Church, Lower Hall prior to going to the cemetery.
