DorothyL. Chaput, 73, died unexpectedly Thursday at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital .Born and raised in Stoneham, she graduated from Stoneham High Class of 1946. Dorothy was a switch-board operator and admitting room secretary at Melrose - Wakefield Hospital for over 24 yrs and retired in 1990. She had been a resident of Melrose for the past 50 yrs and had been active in the Eastern Star, the Rainbow Girls and at the First Baptist Church. Dorothy was the wife of the late Norman A. Chaput. Mother of Cynthia L. Chaput and Scott Chaput both of Melrose. Sister of Eleanor Anderson of Fairport NY. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held in the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W Foster St, Melrose on Mon Dec 23 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sun 4 - 7 PM.
