Dorothy V. (Palmer) Daniell died after a long illness at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on February 9th at the age of 87. Dorothy was born in Lynn, raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School Class of 1932 and has been a lifelong resident of Melrose. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where she very active. Dorothy worked as a switchboard operator at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for over 32 years. She was the wife of the late Leon C. Daniell. Mother of Kenneth Daniell & his wife Pamela of Melrose, Donald F. Daniell & his wife Tracey of Wakefield. Sister of Paul Newbury of FL. Grandmother of Meaghan, Gregory, Jeff, Jason, Jonathan, Jennifer, Jessica and Donald. Great grandmother of Zoe. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Tues. Feb. 11th at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends invited.
