Dorothy Grace (Reynolds) Fahy passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on November 29, 2005, she was 93. Dorothy was born and raised in Providence RI, graduated from Bayview Academy, St. Josephs Hospital School of Nursing and did her graduate studies in Public Health at Simmons College & Boston College. Mrs. Fahy worked as a civilian registered nurse for the Department of the US Army during WWII and then as a Public Health Nurse for the State of Rhode Island & Massachusetts for many years. Dorothy also worked as a registered nurse for the US Public Health Service Hospital in Brighton. She lived in Wellesely Hills for 17 years, Centerville for 13 years and the past 13 years in Melrose. Mrs Fahy was a member of the RI & MA Nurses Association and Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield. Dorothy was the wife of the late Edward L. Fahy. Mother of Suzanne L. Fahy of Washington D.C. and Joyce R. Fahy-Laundre & her husband Glenn of Melrose. Sister of the late John Reynolds & Mary Ewart. Grandmother of Katherine F. & Jessica F. Laundre both of Melrose. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, on Sat. Dec. 3rd at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. There are no visiting hours. Burial to follow in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
