Dorothy A. (Abrams) Goldstein, of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on March 31, 2007 at the age of 80. Dorothy was born & raised in Brooklyn and a graduate of Midwood High School, Class of 1942. She went on to earn her degree from Cornell University and her Doctorate from Hofstra University. Dorothy worked as a Research Psychologist for Central Islip Psychiatric Hospital in Long Island, NY. She was the Chairperson for the Sub Committees on Mental Health for Suffolk County, NY and the Mass. Senior Action Council for Home Health Care. Dorothy resided in Melrose and was the beloved wife of Kenneth B. Goldstein. Loving mother of Warren D. Goldstein-Gelb & his wife Marcy of Somerville and the late Marc J. Goldstein. Cherished grandmother of Brayden M. Goldstein-Gelb. Devoted sister of Sol Abrams & his wife Lillian and Joseph Abrams, all of Brooklyn. Also survived by several nieces & nephews.
