Dorothy E. (Sprague) Holden, of Concord, formerly of Lynnfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the age of 103.

Bunny, so named by her grandchildren, was born on September 26, 1922, and spent her early years in Malden, daughter of Fred and Marion (Ball) Sprague. She was a graduate of Malden High School and a member of the Simmons College (now University) class of 1944.

She was the loving wife of the late Carl Holden for 55 years, lived in Lynnfield and raised three children. She was an active member of the Lynnfield Center Congregational Church and enjoyed so many friends there. She was the mother of Scott Holden & his wife Erica of Eindhoven, The Netherlands, Reed Holden & his wife Carolyn of Concord and Suzanne Harbour & her husband Jeffrey of Fort Collins, Colorado. She adored her 8 grandchildren and their families: Dan and Lisa Holden, Amanda and Jason Giguire, Derek Holden, Rebecca and Patrick McCullough, Stephanie Harbour, Andrew and Emily Holden, Greg and Jane Harbour and Mark Holden. She loved getting together with her 8 great-grandchildren too.

Finally, she loved being surrounded by her family and friends at her family home in the mountains of Center Ossipee, New Hampshire.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster Street, Melrose, MA from 9:00AM-11:00AM on Thursday, April 23, 2026, followed by a funeral home service at 11 AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
