Dorothy M. (MacLennan) MacKinnon died after a long illness at the Life Care Center in Stoneham Jan. 9th at the age of 90. She was born in Nova Scotia, raised in Salem & Boston and graduated from Girls Latin High School in Boston. She worked for 9yrs as a bookkeeper at the 1st National Bank in Boston before she was married. She lived in Everett for 19yrs, Brookline for 9yrs and Melrose the past 36yrs. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Incarnation Church in Melrose. She was the wife of Arthur H. MacKinnon. Mother of Peter A. MacKinnon & his wife Suzanne of Melrose and Paul R. MacKinnon & his wife Kathleen Foley of Holden. Grandmother of Kelly A. & Peter A. MacKinnon Jr. of Melrose, Meaghan L. & Kevin M. MacKinnon of Holden. Sister-in-law of Alice C. MacKinnon and Edna Mae Johnson of Medford. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Jan. 12th at 9AM. Funeral mass in The Church of The Incarnation 429 Upham St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
