Obituary

Dorothy "Dottie" (Cargill) Pinkham passed away on Saturday, September 23, at her home and surrounded by her family and beloved dogs.

Dorothy was born on January 29, 1960 in Stoneham, Massachusetts to the late Edwin J. Cargill and Beverly E. (Runge) Cargill. She was raised in Melrose with her parents and many siblings. She graduated from Melrose High School in 1978 and has been a Lynn resident for the last 28 years. She has worked as a Medical Records technician for the last 15 years.

Dottie was known for her warm smile, her gift of creativity, and the playful banter she brought to conversations. She had such a unique laugh that spread to everyone around her. She loved spending time with her family as family was most important to her.

She was the beloved wife of Kevin M. Pinkham Sr. and the cherished mother of Sean Pinkham, Holly Pinkham and stepson Kevin Pinkham, Jr. The loving sister of Ernest Cargill, Robert Cargill, Donald Cargill, Maureen Cargill Lucey, Janet Cargill Miller, Beverly Cargill, Denice Cargill Greski, Lawrence Cargill, John Cargill and is predeceased by siblings Edwin Cargill Jr, JoAnne Cargill Galiatsatos, and James Cargill.

Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thursday September 28, 2023 from 4pm-7pm. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at Saint Mary of the Annunciation Parish of Melrose, 9 Herbert St at 10AM on Friday, September 29, 2023 followed by interment at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
