Dorothy Pothier, 105 yrs young, died at home Saturday Feb. 24th after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Danvers, she lived in Haverhill & Medford for several years and Melrose for the past 52 years. Dorothy was the oldest living survivor of polio, a disease she suffered in 1903 and she also survived tuberculosis in the 1930's . She was one of the founding members of the Church of the Incarnation. Dorothy was able to perform her own bookkeeping duties until 6 months ago. She was the wife of the late Patrick E. Pothier. Mother of Elizabeth M. Pothier and Leo Richard Pothier both of Melrose and the late Cathleen Pothier. Grandmother of Michael, Coleen & David Pothier Also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday Feb 28 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in the Church of the Incarnation, 429 Upham St Melrose at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
