Dorothy (Flight) Svenson passed away at Mountain Ridge Health Center in Franklin, NH, on July 31, 2005, she was 90 years of age. Dorothy was born and raised in Chelsea and graduated from Chelsea High School. Mrs. Svenson lived in Malden for a few years, Tilton NH for 20 years and moved to Melrose in 1982 after her husband passed away. Dorothy was a homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star in Tilton, NH and she enjoyed music and playing the piano. She was the wife of the late Elmo J. Svenson. Mother of Robert A. Svenson of York ME and the late Beverly A. Svenson. Grandmother of R E Ann Svenson of Denver CO. Sister of the late Lillian Stephens. Sister-in-law of Ruth Svenson of Chelmsford and Edith (Svenson) Heroux of Strafford, NH. Aunt of Carol Puglia & her husband Richard of Saugus, her loving caregivers Kathleen Svenson Bowley of Woburn & Dennis Ames of Sanbornton, NH as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Glenwood Cemetery, Washington St. Everett, on Wed. Aug. 3rd, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Arrangements by Gately Funeral Home in Melrose.
