Dorothy N. (Karpinski) Turner died at home after a battle with cancer on Dec. 26th at the age of 70. Dorothy was born and raised in Peabody, graduated from Peabody High School and has lived in Melrose the past 25yrs. She worked as a tax examiner for the IRS for several years and then ran Delaney's Market on Linwood Ave. in Melrose with her husband Bob for many years. Dorothy was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City. She was the wife of Robert E. Turner for 37years. Sister of Donald ''Scuffy'' Karpinski of Peabody, Margaret Thomas of Wenham and the late Phyllis Woodberry,Vitalis ''Scott'' Karpinski, Harry, Bernard, Wanda, Natalie Karpinski, Eva Piekos and Victoria Quinn. Close friend of Leslie Norris and Lee Falite of Melrose. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat.
