Dorothy P. Wilkinson of Melrose passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on October 27, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 73 years old. Born in Everett, MA to the late John J. & Dorothy P. (Sullivan) O'Connor, she was raised in Chelsea and graduated from St. Rose, class of 1951. Mrs. Wilkinson was employed by AVCO-Everett for many years and later worked as a secretary for 10 years with the Melrose Public School System. She retired in 1995 and enjoyed painting. Dorothy shared 49 years of marriage with her loving husband George B. Wilkinson. Mother of Barry J. & his wife Bernadette of Saugus and Mary N. Wilkinson of Melrose. Sister of Maryann Hichar & her husband Richard of Melrose, John J. OConnor & his wife Barbara of Cambridge and the late Muriel OConnor. Funeral arrangements are private.
