Dr. Richard A. "Dick" Incerto Sr. of Chelsea passed away peacefully on February 9, 2022. Beloved husband of 70 years to the late Nicoletta L. (Griffo) Incerto. Loving father of Roni M Melisi of Sandwich and the late Richard A. Incerto Jr. and his wife Theresa of Hamilton. Cherished grandfather of Corey Fealtman & her husband James of Beverly, Christine Urann & her husband William of Hanover and Mark Melisi & his wife Nicola of Walpole. Proud great grandfather of Nicoletta, Stella, Victoria, James, Benjamin, Jacob & Raymond.
Dick was born in East Boston on November 15, 1930, to the late Antonio and Cristina (DeLeone) Incerto. Out of High School, he joined the United States Coast Guard where he proudly served his country and was honorably discharged. After the Coast Guard, he worked various jobs before he ultimately became Superintendent of Melrose Schools. He was very active in his community and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Dick had a passion for life and learning. He went to Boston University and then studied at Harvard. He was a skilled woodworker among many other talents. Even in his 90s, Dick always made sure to keep up with technology. He learned how to use Alexa, facetime with his grandchildren and read books on his kindle. Dick was loved and admired by many.
A funeral service will be held for both Richard & Nicoletta on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 302 Elm St. Everett at 11:00AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Woodlawn. US Coast Guard Korean War Veteran.
