Obituary

E. Louise (Murphy) Fay passed away at the Epoch of Melrose Nursing Home, on February 15, 2011. She was 90 years of age. Louise was born and raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn High School. Mrs. Fay has been a resident of Melrose since 1957. After raising her children and the death of her husband, she worked as a supervisor with meals on wheels at the Mystic Valley Elder Care Services for 20 years. Mrs. Fay was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church, a dedicated member of the St. Mary's Ladies Sodality, enjoyed sewing and walking. Louise was the beloved wife of the late Mortimer E. Fay. Loving mother of Edward Fay of Woburn, Patricia Fay of Melrose, Michael Fay & his wife Katherine of Lynnfield and Kathleen Fay of Melrose. Devoted grandmother of Nicholas Fay of Lynnfield. Loving sister of Ronald Murphy of Andover. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, February 18th at 10:30AM. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Louise's life will be held at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 11:30AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00-7:00PM. Interment in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
