Obituary

Edith F. (Kearney) Doucette, of Melrose, died at the Lighthouse Nursing Center in Revere on May 9, 2010 at the age of 97. Edith was born & raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School. She worked as an Assembler of the National Radio Company in Melrose for many years and Analogic in Wakefield for several years. Edith was a lifelong Melrose resident and member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield for most of her life. She was the beloved wife of the late David L. Doucette. Loving mother of Joan Colantuoni of Saugus and Beverly DiVola & her late husband Robert of Malden. Predeceased by 5 brothers & 2 sisters. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday May 14th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 9AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8PM. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be in Edith's name to Mystic Valley Elder Services, 300 Commercial St., # 19 Malden, MA 02148.
