Obituary

Edna M. (Sullivan) Winn of Melrose passed away Monday, September 24, 2007 at her home. She was 65 years old. Born in Natick, MA on April 12, 1942 to the late John & Lillian (Smith) Sullivan. Edna was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School, class of 1959. She then graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Regis College in 1963. She worked at the Melrose Co-operative Bank for two years, McLaughlin Insurance of Saugus for a few years and finally as an accountant at the Boston Regional Medical Center of Stoneham for 10 years. Mrs. Winn was a Melrose resident for 40 years and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, watching her grandchildren and was an avid Boston Sports Fan. She was the beloved wife of William E. Winn, with whom they shared 44 years of marriage. Loving mother of Kathleen M. Coyne & her husband James of Melrose & Laurie J. Walsh & her husband John of Medford. Cherished grandmother of Allyson M. Walsh & Collin W. Coyne. Sister of Neal Sullivan of Maryland & the late John Sullivan. Also survived by many cousins, nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Fri. Sept. 28th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 9AM. Family & friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs. from 4-8PM. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn, MA. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral home of Melrose.
