Edward G. Chick of Melrose & Stoddard, NH passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford. He was 77 years old. Born on September 4, 1929 in Boston to the late Leland A. & Ethel (Simmons) Chick, Ed was raised in Malden and attended Malden schools. He was married for 55 years to Priscilla E. (MacLeod) and they had three loving children. Chick enjoyed cribbage, camping in Stoddard, N.H. since 1972, gardening, going for rides to Gloucester, reading, listening to Country Western Music & watching sports on television. Mr. Chick was the owner of Chicks Custom Car Care of Wakefield from 1973-1981. He then worked at Malden Hospital in the maintenance department from 1980-1995, until his retirement. Chick was a resident of Melrose for 45 years. He was the devoted husband of Priscilla E. (MacLeod) Chick. Loving father of Leland A. Chick of Derry, NH, Patty E. Eustis of Malden & Melissa J. Chick of Medford. Cherished grandfather of Eric P. Evans, Joshua E. Chick, Natasha L. Coulter & Rachel A. Eustis. Great grandfather of 4. Caring brother of Gertrude Collins of CA., Bill & his wife Lois Chick of Indiana & the late Barbara Conaway & Myrtle Jensen. Brother-in-law of Charles & the late Irene Cerretani, Ann & Lee Graves all of Melrose, Frank & Lucy MacLeod of Colorado. Uncle of David, Cathe, Diana & Linda Cerretani. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral Service in the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thurs. Mar. 22 at 10AM. Family & friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. from 4-8PM.
