Edward O. Fox passed away suddenly at his home in Amesbury in Feb. 14, 2002, he was 67. Edward was born in Boston, raised in Charlestown and Melrose, lived in Melrose for over 25 years and the past 10 years in Amesbury. He entered the US Airforce in 1953 and served as an airman during the Korean War. Ed worked as a MDC Police Officer for 10 years and then owned and operated the Metropolitan Laundry Service of Haverhll for 20 years. He was the former husband of Ellen (Pike) Fox of Melrose. Father of David C. Fox & his wife Trefina of Melrose, James A. Fox & Peter W. Fox both of Woburn. Brother of Rose Stryke of Woburn, Rita Keohane on Magnolia, Betty Sullivan of Melrose, Peggy Rossi of Woburn, Maureen Crocker of Tewksbury & Mary Kelly of MD. Grandfather of Gabrielle & Andrew Fox. A funeral Mass was held at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, on Monday Febraury 18th at 9AM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
