Edwin J. MacDonald, of Melrose left this world peacefully on January 22, 2021 to join his beloved sweetie Teresa A. (Aubin) MacDonald in heaven. Loving father of Michael G. MacDonald of Wakefield, Marc J. MacDonald and his wife Teresa of Saugus, Michelle H. Coye and her husband Michael, of Billerica, Mary Beth MacDonald, of Methuen, Kevin A. MacDonald and girlfriend Kim Giddings, of New Hampshire, and the late Denise Barbagallo and her husband Salvatore of Saugus, and father-in-law of Diane MacDonald of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Jason, Christopher, Christina, Brittany, Lindsey, Michaela, Bobby, Amanda and Emily. Great grandfather of Chace, Raiya, Brielle, Emersyn and Abigail. Ed was the caring son of the late George and Elizabeth MacDonald, of Chelsea, brother to Robert MacDonald, of Tennessee and the late Arthur MacDonald and Zoe, of New Hampshire, and late George MacDonald and his wife Mary, of Revere. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Because of these difficult times, services are private and reserved for the immediate family.
