Obituary

Efrosene (Chickles) Harris died after a long illness Jan.23rd at the age of 98. She was born in Amsterdam NY and raised in Wakefield MA. Efrosene was a homemaker living most of her life in Milton and the past several years in Canton. She was a longtime member of the Annunciation of Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Boston and a member of the Philoptochos Society at the Church. She was the wife of the late George J. Harris. Mother of Christine Petmezakis of Melrose and her late husband George Petmezakis, James G. Harris & his wife Priscilla of Salem and John G. Harris & his wife Cynthia of Melrose. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Jan. 26th at 8:30AM. Funeral service in the Annunciation of Greek Orthodox Cathedral 514 Parker St. Boston (corner of Parker & Ruggles St.) at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 6-9PM. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery Boston. Memorial contributions may be made to Hellenic Nursing Home 601 Sherman St. Canton 02021 or Annunciation of Greek Orthodox Cathedral Restoration Fund 162 Goddard Ave. Brookline 02445.
