Eileen T. (Poirier) Blades passed away at her home in Heathrow, FL on March 25, 2008. She was 79 years of age. Eileen was born in Chelsea, raised in Somerville and graduated from St. Clement High School, Class of 1946. Eileen was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mrs. Blades lived in Melrose for over 40 years, before moving to Florida in 2001 and was a former member of St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed collecting hummels, traveling, playing cards and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was the beloved wife of Richard J. Blades. Loving mother of Richard J. Blades Jr. & his wife Linda of Billerica, Linda J. Priddy of Hudson and David J. Blades of FL. Grandmother of Lisa M. Blades of Medford, Keri R. Blades of Haverhill & Michelle Priddy of Marlborough. Great grandmother of Lucas W. Pew & Christopher Priddy. Sister of Helen Daley, Lorraine Buker, Lawrence & Paul Poirier. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, March 28th, at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited.
