Eileen M. (Kelley) Kelly passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on Sept. 3, 2007. She was 64 years old. Eileen was born and raised in Melrose and has lived in the same house her entire life. She graduated from St. Marys Grammar School and Melrose High School, Class of 1961. Eileen worked for an insurance company in Boston for several years before coming to work for the City of Melrose. Mrs. Kelly worked for the City of Melrose for over 15 years, 10 of those years in the Retirement Office at city hall. Eileen was best known for her quick whit and wonderful sense of humor. She was truly a kind hearted and forgiving person who loved her family. She was known as the favorite who loved to hang out with the kids at family gatherings. Eileen was the wife of the late SGT Peter Kelley of Melrose Police Dept. Stepmother of Peter Kelly of Saugus & Katherine Kelly of Cape Cod. Sister of Thomas Kelley & his wife Irene of Canton, Patricia Maffe & her husband Joseph of Arlington, Jerry Kelley & his wife Marilyn of ME, twin sister Kathleen Constantino of Wakefield, Ginny Mitstifer & her husband Tom of Melrose, Kevin Kelley & his wife Kathy of Groveland and the late Lawrence & Charlie Kelley. Favorite Aunt to many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday Sept. 7th, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited.
