Elaine Ruth (Hines) Wheeler, 81, of Georgetown, formerly of Melrose passed away peacefully on January 5th surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 10th 1942 in Ayer, Massachusetts to John A Hines Jr. and Ruth (Lothrop) Hines. She is survived by her two younger siblings, Patricia Kaechelin and her husband Tom and John A Hines III and wife Debby.

Elaine was the proud mother of five children; Robert Wheeler and his wife Wendy, Diane Ampollone and her husband David, Ronald Wheeler and his wife Maureen, Scott Wheeler and his wife Tami and Patti-Jean Corrente and her husband James. She was the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren; Christopher Palmer, Kerri-Leigh Kozakiewicz, Ryan Wheeler, Jillian Weisman, Alycia Wheeler, Caroline Mitrano, Timothy Wheeler, Kayla Wheeler, Scott Wheeler Jr., Anthony Corrente, Daniel Corrente, and Julia Corrente. Elaine was the great grandmother of four great grandchildren; Abriella Ballard and Kent, Crew and Banks Kozakiewicz. She was the loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Elaine lived her life joyfully surrounded by her family and Pool Pals from Cedardale. She especially loved spending the day at the beach or simply baking for loved ones. Traveling to visit her sister and brother was something she enjoyed throughout her life. Nothing mattered more to Elaine than visiting with her children and grandchildren, especially when it involved watching a soccer, basketball, hockey or softball game. The day before Thanksgiving was her favorite day of the year as she prepared Thanksgiving dinner for her family over many decades. Elaine was always happy to join one of her children at Billy's Roast Beef or The Clam Box. Coffee was her favorite beverage and she looked forward to sharing with her friends.
