Eleanor T. (Ball) Crowley, of Reading , formerly of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on March 10, 2014 at the age of 86. Eleanor was born & raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School. She resided in Melrose until the age of 41 and the past 45 years in Reading. Eleanor always had a smile on her face and was an avid Celtics & Boston sports fan and enjoyed taking day trips to go shopping at the mall. She loved to travel to Hawaii, Ireland, Bermuda, the Caribbean, Vermont, Florida, Cape Cod and many cruises with her husband. Eleanor enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time visiting with her family. She was the beloved wife of Robert T. Crowley. Devoted daughter of William & Agnes (Murphy) Ball. Caring sister of the late William Ball & his late wife Patricia, the late John Ball & his late wife Genevieve and the late Joseph Ball & his late wife Rose. Sister in law of Dorothy Settemio of Malden and Rosemary DeRoche of Melrose. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and 1 great grandniece. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, March 15th at 8AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-7PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
