Eleanor M. (Manson) Dudley, of Melrose, died at Oostermans Rest Home in Wakefield on Oct 28th at the age of 82. Eleanor was born and lived in Charlestown until 1949. Mrs. Dudley resided in Melrose for over 50 years, was a member of St. Marys Church, Past President of the Alter Society, Ladies Sodality and also worked at St. Marys Rectory for many years. Eleanor worked at Shaws Supermarket in Melrose, Mystic Valley Day Care in Malden for several years and was very devoted to her grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Royce Dudley. Loving mother of Leonard R. Dudley Jr. & his former wife Diane Jordan of Tewksbury, Diane M. Wells & her husband Gary of Wilmington, Robert P. Dudley & his wife Lori, Alan D. Dudley & his wife Kathryn, all of Brookline, NH and Janice M. Conlon & her husband Edward of Wakefield. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Christopher, Alicia, Zachary, Kellianne, Byron, Kendalyn, Connor & Kara. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held at Wyoming Cemetery, Sylvan St., Melrose on Thursday at 11AM. The family will be gathering at the funeral home prior to the graveside service from 10-10:30AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4-7PM. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
