Eleanor A. (Reehill) Howland, "Kellie", of Melrose, died at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on May 24, 2018 at the age of 88. Eleanor was born & raised in Saugus and a graduate of Saugus High School. She resided in Saugus for many years and Melrose since 1969. Eleanor was a homemaker and a devout member of the Church of the Incarnation in Melrose for many years. She enjoyed spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee and never missed any of her family's soccer, baseball and ballet events. Eleanor's family was the most important part of her life. She was the loving mother of Timothy Howland & his wife Lisa of Melrose, Myles Howland & his wife Barbara of Derry, NH and Lenore Howland & her companion Clark McClune of CA. Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Kyle, Sean, Amy, Cameron and Miranda. Former spouse of late Neil Howland. Caring sister of the late Catherine Spencer & her late husband Thomas and Mary Moschella & her late husband Andy. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, May, 29th from 4-8PM. Procession from the Gately Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30th at 8:45AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Eleanor's name to the charity of your choice.
