Eleanor M. (Gilewski) Adams, of Melrose formerly of Wakefield, died at the Harborside Healthcare of Wakefield on March 26, 2008 at the age of 82. Eleanor was born & raised in Melrose and a graduate of St. Mary's Grammar & High School. After high School, Eleanor went on to earn her degree from St. Elizabeth's Hospital, School of Nursing. She worked as a Register Nurse for the Melrose Wakefield Hospital for 30 years. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, Incarnation Church in Melrose and Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield for many years. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Adams. Loving mother of John J. Adams Jr. & his wife Patricia of Middleton. Caring sister of Robert Gilewski & his wife Dianne of Delaware and the late Walter Gilewski Jr. Cherished grandmother of John J. Adams III of Middleton. Devoted sister in law of Elizabeth Adams of Melrose. Also survived by several other sister's & brothers in laws and many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday March 29th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8PM.
