Elizabeth F. "Betty" Adams, of Melrose, died at her home on Feb. 15, 2010 at the age of 85. Betty was born in Boston, raised in Woburn and graduated from Woburn High School, Class of 1943. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Reece Folding Machine Company in Woburn for many years. Betty was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Stoneham & Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield. She enjoyed knitting, bingo, making cookies and being a seamstress for her many friends at the Cefalo House in Melrose. She was the devoted sister of Helen Pearson & her husband Kenneth of Dracut & the late John Adams Sr., Stella Georgeu and Leo Adams. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W, Foster St., Melrose on Saturday Feb. 20th at 10:30AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1055 Main St., Wakefield at 11AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the Mass from 9:30-10:30AM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
