Elizabeth I. (Arthur) Mooers died after a long illness at Winthrop House Senior Care of Medford October 13th at the age of 96. She was born in Lawrence, raised in Roxbury, graduated from Roxbury High School and attended Boston Teacher's College. Elizabeth lived in Jamaica Plain for many years, East Boston for several years and in Melrose since 1975. She was a homemaker and had previously worked for Liberty Mutual Life Insurance Company as a Fleet Rater for 10yrs. She was the wife of the late Daniel T. Mooers. Mother of Priscilla J. Mooers of Melrose, Daniel T. Mooers & his wife Phyllis of Rockport and the late Joshua E. Mooers & his wife Barbara A. Mooers of Melrose. Grandmother of Daniel T. Mooers III & his wife Kim of Hingham, Jennifer R. Mooers of Somerville, Linda Salisbury of Malden. Also survived by 4 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday Oct. 18th at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. There are no visiting hours. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery Everett. Visitation: None None
