Elizabeth (DiMinico) Oliver passed away at the Epoch Senior Helathcare in Melrose, on Monday, August 10, 2009. She was 81 years of age. Betty was born in Boston on June 22, 1928 to the late James & Mary (Pignone) DiMinico, raised in East Boston and graduated from Girls High School in Boston. Mrs. Oliver was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, playing cards and the Christmas Holidays. Betty loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She has been a resident of Revere since 1961. Mrs. Oliver was the beloved wife of John F. Oliver. Loving mother of Janice A. Baldi & her husband Stephen of Melrose and Denise M. Perry & her husband Edmund Jr. of Malden. Cherished grandmother of John Baldi & his wife Patricia, Keith Baldi & his wife Angela, Denae & Mark Perry. Great grandmother of Seneca, Francesca, Brendan, Jacob & Lucia. Sister of Teresa Calla of Winthrop and the late Joseph DiMinico & Antoinetta Gambale. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Saturday, August 15th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, at 10AM.
