Ellen Marie (Lacey) Chisholm passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on April 3, 2007; she was 64 years of age. Ellen was born in Boston, raised in Dorchester & Tewksbury and has been a resident of Melrose for the past 37 years. Mrs. Chisholm worked as an account manager at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston for 15 years. She was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother. Ellen was very active in the Melrose Elks, where she served as the 1st Woman Exalted Ruler and at the Melrose Emblem Club #89, as past president. Mrs. Chisholm was involved with the Melrose Pop Warner Cheerleaders, Melrose Bandaiders, the PTO in Melrose, a member of the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary and an active volunteer with Irish Step Dancing. Ellen was the wife of George L. Midge Chisholm. Mother of David J. Chisholm & his wife Janine of Londonderry, NH and Renee M. Chisholm & her husband Buddy Harsh of Melrose. Grandmother of Dylan, Daniel, Kylie, Ryan & Courtney. Sister of James Lacey of ME. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Saturday, April 7th at 9AM. A funeral liturgy will be held at The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8PM.
