Estelle L. (Chaulk) MacCutcheon passed away at home on March 9th at the age of 84. Estelle was born in Newfoundland, raised in Cambridge, graduated from Cambridge Latin High School in 1937 and has been a resident of Melrose since 1948. She was a homemaker, a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Melrose where she was a member of the church choir, the alter guild and the Sunday School Program. Estelle was a member of the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered for many years. She was the wife of the late Robert G. MacCutcheon. Mother of Linda Moore of GA, Robyn Reineck of Melrose, Susan Russell of FL and the late Sandra Ingersoll. Sister of Dorothy Donovan of Cambridge. Grandmother of Kirk Ingersoll of GA, Staci Hayes of AL, Darcie Plunkett of CA and Leah Zajac of NY. Great grandmother of Sandra Lynn Hayes. Funeral services will be held at The Trinity Episcopal Church, 131 W. Emerson St. Melrose, on Monday March 15th at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Internment in Wyoming Cemetery will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Inc., MSPCA or WGBH Public TV.
