Ethel Ruth (Curley) Huston died after a long illness at The Center for Optimum Care in Wakefield Feb. 10th at the age of 88. She was born in Fitchburg MA, brought up in Providence RI, graduated from high school in Providence and graduated from RI Hospital School of Nursing. Ethel worked as a registered nurse at Melrose Wakefield Hospital in Melrose for over 25yrs. Before working at Melrose Wakefield Hospital she worked as the district nurse for the Town of Stowe for several years. Ethel has been a resident of Melrose for the past 48yrs and a longtime member of St. Mary's Church. She was the wife of the late Ralph E. Huston. Mother of Thomas Lee Huston & his wife Catherine of N.Reading, Roy E. Huston & his wife Gloria of Northboro and the late Jay Richard Huston. Sister the late of Doris M. Goldin. Sister-in-law of Sol Goldin of IL. Grandmother of Michael Ralph Huston of N.Reading and Christopher John Huston & his wife Kristen of Middleton. Great grandmother of Connor John & Elizabeth Anne Huston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews locally and in the Chicago area. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Tues. Feb. 13th at 10:30 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral mass on Tues. morning from 9:30 - 10:30 AM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose
