Evan (Phillips) MacIntyre passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on October 3rd, she was 76. Evan was born in Boston, raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School Class of 1946 and graduated from Westbrook Junior College in Portland Maine. She lived in Syracuse NY for 7 years, Melrose since 1966 and Stoneham for the past several years. Evan worked as a medical secretary for 40 years before retiring in 1988. Most recently she worked for Dr. Eugene Glick in Malden. She was a member of Kappa Delta Psi that runs the Kappa Swap Shop in Melrose. Evan was the loving mother of Jennifer E. MacIntyre of Boston. Evan was a great friend to many. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thursday October 7th at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation on Thursday morning from 10:15AM-11:00AM. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Evans memory to the American Cancer Society 66Y Concord St. Wilmington 01887 or a charity of your choice.
