Evelyn L.( Smith) Crosby died at home in Melrose Nov. 11th at the age of 88. She was born and raised in Melrose, lived in Florida from 1963- 1995 and has been living in Melrose since 1995. She was a homemaker. Evelyn was the wife of the late Melvin F. Crosby . Mother of Donald Crosby of Largo Fl, Glen Crosby of Lexington and Eileen James of Melrose. Grandmother of Glen Crosby & Ron Crosby both of Fl, Erik Crosby of Westford, Dana Crosby of Littleton, Sean, Danielle & Jonathan Crosby all of Lexington, Donald Mulrenan of Townsend, Lynne Barbaro, Kevin Mulrenan and John James all of Melrose. Sister of Florence Law of Melrose, Robert Smith of FL and the late Mildred Kimball, Edna Walsh, Gertrude Regan, and Jim Smith. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Thurs Nov 14 from 4 PM to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held in Largo Fl at a time to be announced.
