Flora V. "Flo" (Sheppard) MacDougall passed away at the Tuell Nursing Home in Melrose on Friday March, 23, 2012. She was 98 years of age. Flo was born in Medford on June 3, 1913 to the late Norman & Lillian (Parsons) Sheppard. Mrs. MacDougall was raised in Medford, graduated from Medford High School and has lived in Melrose most of her life. Prior to raising her family Flo worked as the office manager for Metropolitan Lithograph in Everett for over 15 years. Mrs. MacDougall was a homemaker who volunteered weekly at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for over 50 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, loved music and playing the piano. Flo enjoyed summering on Bow Lake in Strafford, NH for the past 53 years. Mrs. MacDougall was the wife of the late Bernard V. "Bud" MacDougall. Mother of Linda J. DeHart of Melrose and B. Paul MacDougall & his wife Peg of MO. Grandmother of Shawn DeHart & his wife Michele, Amy Oakes, Shawna Bligh ESQ and Ambre Sapp & her husband Tracy. Great grandmother of Sophia, Jackson & Tristan DeHart and Jackson, Lucas & Weston Sapp. Sister of the late Alice Smith & Norman Sheppard. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Tuesday, March 27th from 4:00-8:00PM. Followed by a funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10AM.
