Fotini A. "Fanny" (Antoniou) Loizides passed away at her home in Melrose, on August 21, 2008. She was 91 years of age. Mrs. Loizides was born on the Island of Cyprus, raised in Cyprus, lived in Everett for a few years and has been as resident of Melrose since 1968. She was a talented seamstress, making slip covers for many clients over the years. Fanny was a loving mother who enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers and her peach trees. Mrs. Lozidies was a sweet and kind person, was a longtime member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn and was a member of the Ladies Society at church. Wife of the late Charles C. Loizides. Beloved mother of Anthony C. Loizides & his wife Tina of Saugus. Devoted grandmother of Charles A. Loizides. Loving sister of Solon Piitarides of Cyprus. Loving sister-in-law of Maria Antoniou of Malden & Steve Loizides of Nahant. Devoted godmother of Annamaria & Elaina Georgopoulos, Kristen Koines & Chris Loizides. Also survived by many other loving nieces & nephews. A Funeral service will be held at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 South Common St. Lynn, on Monday August 25th at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Sunday from 4-8PM. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
