Frances "Fran" (Rooney) Bushee passed away at her home in Wakefield on April 22, 2011. She was 79 years of age. Fran was born in Newton on August 7, 1931 to the late Francis & Martha (Walsh) Rooney. She was raised in Newton, graduated from Our Lady's High School in Newton and has been a resident of Wakefield for the past 40 years. Francis worked for the Dean of Nursing at Boston College for a few years, at the Grover Cronin Retail Store in Watertown and the as an office manager in for Doctor Rolle-Daya in Stoneham for 23years. She was a longtime member of The Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield and a member of the Ladies Guild at church. Mrs. Bushee enjoyed art, painting, ceramics, and pottery and was a season ticket holder to the North Shore Music Theater. Fran loved to spend time with her grandchildren and enjoyed her trips to New York City. Frances was the beloved wife of Robert J. Bushee. Loving mother of Suzanne & Matt Bialock of Stoneham, Mary Bushee & John Brochi of Wakefield and Joseph Bushee of South Boston. Cherished grandmother of RJ, Brian & Michaela Bialock all of Stoneham, Jonathan & Dylan Brochi of Wakefield. Sister of John Rooney & his wife Donna of Ashburnham and the late Al Rooney. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wednesday, April 27th, at 11AM. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Frances's life will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, at 12 Noon. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
