Obituary

Frances M. (Maguire) Gensler passed away at Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH on March 30th, she was 83. Frances was born in Woburn, raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary's Grammar & High School and Boston College with a degree in nursing. Mrs. Gensler was a nurse in the Navy during WWII, serving as a Lieutenant in San Diego, treating the soldiers injured in the South Pacific. She also worked as a nurse at the Chelsea Soldier's Home, for the Public Health Service in Brighton and in Public Health Service in Alaska. Frances lived in Germany, Trinidad, Florida, Alaska, Vermont for 20 years and Milford NH the past 5 years. She was the wife of Leo G. Gensler. Sister of James P. Maguire Jr. of Melrose, Lillian C. Dunn of W.VA, Ruth R. Doucette, Anne L. O'Brien both of Melrose, Thomas J. Maguire of Belmont & the late John J. Maguire. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday April 2nd at 9AM. Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visting hours Thurs. 4-8PM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery in Woburn.
