Frances Giacalone-Fisher, of Melrose, formerly of Saugus & the North End, died at the Harborside Healthcare in Wakefield on Dec. 29, 2004 at the age of 95. Frances was born & raised in the North End of Boston, a resident of Saugus for over 15 years and Melrose for 7 years. She was a homemaker and the beloved wife of the late John Fisher & the late Vito Giacalone. Loving mother of Anthony Giacalone & his wife Betty of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Donna, Lisa and Tony Giacalone Jr., all of Melrose. Devoted Aunt of Rosily LaPia of GA, Sarah Favazza of Boston, Gloria Cimino & her husband Joseph of Medford, Alfred Marotta of Middleton, Leonard Mistretta of AZ, and Bob Mistretta of CA. Caring sister of the late Jack & Leonard Mistretta, Mildred Favazza and Rose Marotta. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday, Jan. 3, 2005 at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
