Francesca (Merulla) Frassica passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. She was 89 years of age. Francesca was born in Pace Del Mela, Sicily Italy on June 11, 1920 to the late Antonio & Rosa (Morosia) Merulla. She was raised in Sicily and moved to the United States at the age of 50. Francesca lived in East Boston for over 30 years and Saugus, MA since 2001. She was a loving mother to her son Anthony Frassica & his wife Susan of Hawaii, Rosa, Josephine & Irene Frassica all of Saugus. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thursday October 8th at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visitation Thursday morning from 10:00 11:00AM. Interment in Puritan lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
