Francis P. Buckley passed away at the Center for Optimum Care on March 1st at the age of 89. He was born in Charlestown, raised in Melrose, attended Melrose High and graduated from Boston Trade School. Mr. Buckley has been a lifelong resident of Melrose, a member of St. Mary's Church, the carpenter's union and was an avid fisherman. Francis worked for the B&M Railroad as a carpenter for over 40 years retiring in 1976. He was the husband of the late Anna F. (Howe) Buckley. Father of Mary E. Dargie of Melrose. Brother of the late Allen J. Buckley and John D. Buckley. Brother-in-law of Lillian Buckley of Southwick and Eva M. Carroll of Hyde Park. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thurs. March 4th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited.
