Obituary

Frank Hogan, 82, passed away on June 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter and memories that will forever bring smiles to those who knew him.

Born to Francis Hogan and Althea (Libby) Hogan, Frank grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, and graduated from Medford High School. He spent his career as a motorman for the MBTA before retiring.

Frank was a true straight shooter with a quick wit and an unforgettable sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and never missed the chance to tell it like it was. A lifelong Boston sports fan, if the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, or Celtics were playing, chances are he was watching. One of his favorite places to visit was Sanibel Island, Florida.

Every Christmas Eve, Frank looked forward to the family’s annual Yankee Swap. He always arrived with the funniest, strangest gift he could find, knowing it would get everyone laughing and become the talk of the night.

Frank shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Chereen. His greatest joy was his family. He is survived by Chereen; his daughters, Erin Hogan and Janelle Hogan; and his cherished grandchildren, Cole, Declan, and Brooke Tucker, who lovingly knew him as “Guk.” Being “Guk” was one of the roles he treasured most.

A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Incarnation Church, 429 Upham Street, Melrose. Please go directly to church. Interment will follow Frank's funeral mass at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, 185 Lake Street, Peabody. Family & Friend's respectfully invited to attend.
