Francis G. Jones died at Melrose Wakefield Hospital after a long illnees from Parkinsons's Disease on Monday March 11th. Frank was born in Boston, raised in Winthrop, graduated from Winthrop High School Class of 1941 and Boston University. He worked as a manager for the N.E. Telephone Co. for 42yrs. Frank was a WWII Airforce Veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus in Brimfield MA, the N.E. Telephone Pioneers and Bellevue Golf Club in Melrose. He has been a resident of Melrose for the past 40yrs. He was the husband of Margaret I. (Welling) Jones. Brother of the late Thomas & Edward Jones. Brother-in-law of Florence Haley and Catherine Maloney both of Winchester. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thurs. March 14th at 9AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 3-7PM.
