Francis "Fran" X. Lepere, of Stuart, FL, formerly of Melrose, died at the Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, FL on August 26, 2009 at the age of 81. Fran was born in Somerville, raised in Cambridge and graduated from Rindge Technical High School, Class of 1944. He worked as the General Manager for the King's Grant Inn in Danvers for 15 years and his career spanned over 40 years. Fran was Commandant of the Charles Gate Yacht Club in Cambridge and loved boating, cooking & traveling. He was well-traveled and enjoyed cruises and trips to Europe. Fran was the beloved husband of Irene M. (Pare') Lepere. Loving father of Edward G. Lepere & his wife Julie of Las Vegas, Paul R. Lepere of Hampton Falls, NH, Gene W. Lepere & his wife Denise of Everett, Kenneth P. Lepere & his wife Brenda of Merrimac, NH, Mary I. Carlson & her husband Mark of Amherst, NH and the late Frances I. Lepere. Father in law of Gail Lepere of Hampton Falls, NH. Brother of the late Guissey Lepere, William Lepere, Rose Cellucci, Josephine Salani and Margaret Albertazzi. Also survived by 9 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday, Sept. 3rd at 8:15AM. Funeral Mass in St. Francis Church, 325 Cambridge St., Cambridge at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-8PM. Burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Boston.
