Frank DeSantis, 85, died at HealthSouth New England Rehab Hospital in Woburn on June 10th after a short illness. Born and raised in Wakefield , he graduated from Wakefield High School in 1934. Frank was a Sergeant in the 428th Counter Intelligence Corps Detachment U. S. Army. He was a Security Officer at the General Electric Co. in Lynn for 30 yrs and retired in 1978. Frank was a Master Carpenter in Local 26 , a member of I.U. E. Local # 201, and a Locksmith. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. He was the husband of Rose ( Coviello ) DeSantis. Father of Rosemarie Carey of Marblehead and Carol Pangi of Brentwood, CA. Grandfather of David Carey, Carolyn Martin, Christina, Catherine and Patrick John Pagni. Brother of Agnes Senter, Anna DeSantis and the late James DeSantis. Brother-in-law of Elizabeth Mitchell. Also survived by several nieces and nephews including Kenneth & Linda Mitchell.
