Frank E. Schueler Jr. died at Elmhurst Nursing Home on Dec. 24th after a long illness at the age of 67. He was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School Class of 1953, Kimball Union Academy in NH in 1954 and attended Brown University. Frank has been a lifelong resident of Melrose and has summered in Naples Maine since he was a young boy. He was the publisher, editor and president of the Melrose Free Press and Melrose Printing Company for 35 years retiring in 1990. Frank was a member of the Melrose Rotary, the New England Publishing Assoc., Lakes Region Assoc. in Naples Maine and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Melrose. He was the husband of Dianne L. (Hjerpe) Doucette Schueler and the late Carol (Jackman) Schueler. Father of Frank E. Schueler III & his wife Lynne of Georgetown. Grandfather of Alexandra & Jason Schueler. Brother of Jane Connolly & her husband Paul of FL. Stepfather of Lisa Tarmey & her husband Patrick of Sailsbury and Renee King & her husband John of NH. Step-grandfather of Ivy & Edward Tarmey and Timothy & Tiffany King. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church 645 Main St. Melrose on Sat Jan. 4th at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday Jan 3rd from 4-8PM.
