Frank E. Wells Sr. of Melrose, MA born in Winchester, MA on September 7th, 1937, passed peacefully on August 5th, 2026 after a brief illness.

Frank was raised in Stoneham, MA by his father Ernest Wells and mother Margaret Wells, and was predeceased by his brother Robert and sister Evelyn.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Marilyn with whom he shared seven children. His sons Frank (Barbara), Glen (MaryAnn), Ken (Lisa), Scott, and Kevin and daughters Donna (Doug) and Doreen (Mike). He was loved also by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed dearly by Kona the Boston Terrier.

Frank attended parochial school prior to graduating from Stoneham High in 1955. He had his own masonry company for many years and worked as a Millwright/Ironworker until the age of 81. He took great pride in his work and family and loved his wife Marilyn with all his heart. He was always helpful with fixing whatever was asked of him, thank goodness, as Marilyn always had a Honey Do List at the ready. He also cherished Kona, his son Kevin’s Boston Terrier and protected his well being fiercely.
